How do I update my Access Point Name (APN) Settings?

What are APN settings?

Can’t connect your phone to our data network? Follow the instructions below to configure your APN settings and connect to the Q Link Wireless Network. Without the correct APN settings, you won’t be able to use your data. Resetting your APN settings may help restore your service.


How to Update Android APN Settings

1. Swipe down.

2. Make sure Wi-Fi and Mobile Data are turned on.

3. Tap Settings.

4. Tap Network & Internet, Mobile Network, or Wi-Fi & Network.

5. Tap Mobile Network or SIM Network.
On newer phones: Find the Green SIM Card Icon & tap your Phone number.

6. Tap Advanced or skip to the next step if you don’t see it.

7. Tap Access Point Names (APN).

8. Tap New APN or the + Sign.

9. Carefully enter the settings as shown in the fields below:

  • APN: qlink
  • MMSC: http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
  • MCC: 310
  • MNC: 240
  • APN Type: default,supl,mms
  • APN Protocol: Select > IPv4/IPv6
  • APN Roaming Protocol: Leave blank or keep the same

10. Double-check your APN settings are correct.

11. Tap the Menu icon in the upper right-hand corner or More Options.

12. Tap Save or the Checkmark in the upper right-hand corner.

13. Select Q Link under Access Point Names (APN).

14. Restart your phone by holding down the Power Button and pressing Restart.

15. Open your Browser and visit any website to start using your Data.

You should now be able to connect to your data and the internet with your Android.

Resetting My APN Didn’t Work

If you’re still unable to use your data, you can try a complete factory reset. If you decide to factory reset your phone, you will lose all data, contacts, pictures, and messages on that device.
